Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance, order, rhythm and harmony. ~ Thomas Merton

Cricket came into my life in 2003.  It had been just two weeks since I lost Moose, my very first horse.  I went to look at her on a whim.  She didn't meet any of my criteria for my next horse.  I wanted a 7-10 yr old gelding, 15.2-16 hh, well-started with at least walk-trot-canter under saddle.  So there was no way I was going to end up with a 14.3 2 yr old unstarted filly.  Famous last words.  The moment I laid eyes on her, the first words out of my mouth were, "Mine."

More than eight years later, we're still together.

I hope to flesh this out more with her pedigree, horsenality and just a little bit of information about the horse who stole my heart and flat refuses to give it back.
